KNICKS LOSE SECOND GAME IN A ROW IN THE FINAL SECONDS

"This is some bullsh*t," said Rasheed Wallace at the conclusion of their game against the San Antonio Spurs. For the second game in a row the Knicks lost by a score of 62-60 with a chance to win on their final posession. When Jason Terry missed an open 3 pointer with no time left on the clock, he looked to the sky as if asking for divine answers. The once division leading Knicks are now 4-3 and ready to get back to their winning ways.

Dirk Nowitski and Rasheed Wallace each finished with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Rafer Alston added 11 points to the cause. Coach Pappy Knuckles was in a poor mood during the postgame press conference. "Losing back to back like this is heartbreaking. Our turnovers and inability to get to the free throw line ended up being the difference. Right now we're still treading above water but things can get ugly if we don't start playing better."

Kirk Hinrich lead the Spurs with 22 points. He hit several clutch buckets that kept his team within striking range all game long. Andris Biedrens finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Although the Spurs didn't shoot well from behind the arc or the free throw line, they took very good care of the ball. Coach Greg Popovich credited Beno Udrih's solid play as the reason for their win. He finished the game with 7 points and 7 assists.
